http://images.google.co.th/url?q=http://sportsevents.net/events/images/toby_keith.jpg&sig=__CyMjnhJRakE0yYtN26t3-KSyLO4=

Toby Keith The Okla men, his voice is really nice, his style of music is not like an original country but is the adopt country to be a modern sounds of country music. After I listened to his song, I feel like I attend to some of modern songs, his style of music is quite brand new.

Who's that man is one of my favourite

"Who's That Man"

Turn left at the old hotel
I know this boulevard much too well it hasn't changed since I been gone
Oh this used to be my way home

They paved the road thru the neighborhood
I guess the county finally fixed good it was gettin' rough
Someone finally complained enough

Fight the tears back with a smile
Stop and look for a little while oh it's plain to see
The only thing missing is me

That's my house and that's my car
That's my dog in my back yard
There's the window to the room
Where she lays her pretty head
I planted that tree out by the fence
Not long after we moved in
That's my kids and that's my wife
Who's that man, runnin' my life

If I pulled in would it cause a scene
There not really expectin me those kid's have been thru hell
I hear they've adjusted well

Turn around in the neigbors drive
I'd be hard to recognise in this pick-up truck
It's just an old fixer up

Drive away one more time
Lot of things runnin' thru my mind I guess the less things change
The more they never seem the same

That's my house and that's my car
That's my dog in my back yard
There's the window to the room
Where she lays her pretty head
I planted that tree out by the fence
Not long after we moved in
That's my kids and that's my wife
Who's that man, runnin' my life

That's my house and that's my car
That's my dog in my back yard
There's the window to the room
Where she lays her pretty head
I planted that tree out by the fence
Not long after we moved in
That's my kids and that's my wife
Who's that man, runnin' my life

I don't know well about the meaning of this lyrics, but I guessd he wrote this song like the way of looking back to his life and explain the things that happened in his life.Eventhough, I'm not clear with the lyrics but the sounds of instrumental I can say that he used some synthezizer sounds plus the real records of acoustic guitar ( which souns bright and clear ), the mixed sounds of paino is really cool because It made song sounds soft.

Another songs of him like You Ain't Much Fun Since I Quit Drinking is also good I can feel the feeling of country deeply by the sound of harmonica but his songs is also mixed by many instrumental like piano and made it sounds good.

The way he composed the music is turn to be his unique, his songs is sounds bright inpressed me at first time I listened to. Quite good of his music, I like it and Thank you to Ajarn for bringing me a good stuff.

Full Metal Jacket ( The world of shit )

This is the war movie, fuckin Vietnam war. This movie showed us about military work of US army, they was trained for war. This movie is set in the Vietnam war period, and now I know that why old American people call that time as a " time to hell "

many of terrible things in the war still stack into my eyes, rifle, ammo, bomb, enymies and so many are cruel, many of comrads are die in the field there. Eventhough, this war is passed for long time but I think the weapon in that period is high power. I knew more the soldier'life and knew more about the military works.

I like Joker in here, he is quite cool and like a kind of good person, I impressed him from one shot, the scene of killing Vietnamese sniper who kills his friends, he hesitated to shoot that sniper coz he think that is too hard to kill women and kid.

The movie shows me the relationship between soldier in the same section also, they have a good taking care to each other and working in team. My god, this is also my lovely movie.

I have some question to ask u, Ajarn. In the movie, some of their conver sation they talk such as " VC ", I don't know what is that, explain me some. Yes, almost forget, I also like the Ost. of this movie, every song are cool.

I gave this movie 4 diamonds ( out of five ), it's cool.

HARD TIME

This movie is the story about Chaney, an underground boxer who wanderd around. Then,he found Speed, a gamble man who take him for fighting. Chaney is skillful in fighting, he can take all enemy down and got a lot of money. After that, Mr.Gandil neet him to join with, with big amount of money but he refused the deal so that, Mr.Gandil have to find another one to take Chaney down, finally, Chaney take his enemy down again and cotinued wandering.

My point of view, this movie is in the period of great depression, charactheristic of this period, a lot of gamble, prostitute, a use of Ferry and image of old factory.
People addicted to gambling.

I notice that people in this time still have a low standard of living but each amount of bambling money is quite high. I think, the gap between rich and poor people is large and I have found that architecture is this period is more closely to the western style. lastly, this movie is suit fot the people who want to practice the gambling skill ( hahahaha ).

SEABISCUIT

SEABISCUIT, the movie diccusses the story about the relationship between men and horse name Seabiscuit, Haward, a richmen who started his job as car seller, after his son died by car accident, he got a new married and starting a horse farm. He bought one horse name Seabiscuit bt 2,000 USD and hire one men name tom Smith as a horse keeper. Then, he hire a men name Johnny ( Red ) to be a horse rider. Red and Biscuit got in every race and won almost the race. One day, Red got leg broken by riding accident, he had to recover his self for long time with his hose that also got pain. Finally, when he is fine. both of them going for goal again.

My opinion, this is the best movie I like in this subject, the story is in the Roaling 20s period. This is the era of using car, people stop riding horse as a vehicle but used horse in race and there are a lot of gambling I have seen. I like Toby Mcguire in the role of Red ( more than Peter in Spiderman ), he bleed my tears.
The relationship between Red and Biscuit made me feel great, he feels to Biscuit like a haman and give good taking care of him. The charactheristic of this period, people using a l ot of car, railway are spread to everywhere. More western culture in this period such as, social lifestyle, dressing, etc. lastly, I really this movie, it tought me about the spirit and patient. The very last, for the people who didn't see this movie, you missed something biggggg.

Then, she hired the gun men name Kid Shelleen for protect her father but her father was killed by. Then she leave everything and going to be a gangster, robbing the train for money and killed Sir Harry to revenge for her father and then she was under arrested. The story end by her gang help her from hanging and escaped.

In my opinion, I think I love this movie, first of all, Jane Fonda is a lovely girl, she is so cute and I love her ( hahahaha ). The story is set in the western expandsion period, everyrhing are in cowboy style. I like this movie, the story was told by singing from 2 mens, good song and sounds lovely. Characteristic of this period is still from the western style, people still took the gun, riding horse, punish the murdurer by hanging, some people wears jeans, is looks nice. Well, the movie is funny, I also like Kid, the gun men, he is funny external he looks freak and have no anything but actually he is good men and cool in shooting. Anyway, I suggest this movie for everyone, it's good and Jane Fonda is so beautiful, do you agree with me Ajarn???

After help him out from arrested, Jesse and Zee go to Tennesse and the story is end.

In my oppinion, I think this movie is good, their lifestyle looks real amrican, the way they live the way they dress also the music they play in the party, the music sounds real American country. I notice that almost American movie that you gave me, they always execute the prisoner by hanging, almost people have gun, wear hat and many villages always took place in the up country with the sand floor, that made me feel like they live in the dessert. Anyway, this is the movie I like most. I reccommend people who never watch this one, just go get them and watch it.

L'arc~en~Ciel

Music Assignment I

Kate Rusby

I'm quite sure that all the music I listened from your mp3 are from American. The cd u gave me is classified the music into 4 period, Folks, Negro Spiritual, Blues and Early Jazz. Many Many song are cool, The sound of Folks in civil war is the most I like. The song " the white cockade " from Kate Rusby is one of my favourite, her voice so sweety, she can express her feeling by her sing cleary, tecnique of her singing is really cool, I don't know how to explain in English but I know that coz I'm a singer also and I think that her voice sounds like Alanis Morissette, U agree with me?
Alanis Morissette

The blues music is all so cool, Music in this period is the begining of Rock&Roll, The musician can compose many instrument within the song greatly. I also like the sounds of guitar coz I like Rock&Roll and also the voice of singer this period is really u nique. I love it.

I also like The Jazz music coz I like the wood wind sound, I noticed that almost jazz music always composed with the wood wind sounds. and the character of Jazz is not sad like Blues period, I think Blues is sounds sad bcoz they composed the song in the minor key, not like jazz that always play in major.

T-Bone Walker : The Blues Guitar Godfather

Aaron Thibeaux Walker or T-Bone Walker or Oak Cliff T-Bone (May 28, 1910 – March 16, 1975) was an American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter, and one of the most influential musicians of the early 20th century. He is believed to have been the first bluesman to use an amplified acoustic guitar.

Walker was born in Linden, Texas of African American and Cherokee descent. When he was a young man his family moved to a region of south Dallas known as Oak Cliff where he met and learned from Blind Lemon Jefferson, another legendary blues musician. Walker's recording debut was "Wichita Falls Blues"/"Trinity River Blues", recorded for Columbia Records in 1929 under the name Oak Cliff T-Bone. His distinctive sound didn't develop until 1942, when Walker recorded "Mean Old World" for Capitol Records. His electric guitar solos were among the first heard on modern blues recordings and set a standard that is still followed.

Much of Walker's output was recorded from 1946–48 on Black & White Records, including 1947's "Call it Stormy Monday (But Tuesday's Just as Bad)", with its famous opening line, "They call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad". He followed up with his "T-Bone Shuffle": "Let your hair down baby, let's have a natural ball". Both are considered blues classics. B. B. King says "Stormy Monday" first inspired him to take up the guitar. The song is also a favorite live number for the Allman Brothers Band.

Throughout his career he worked with top quality musicians, including Teddy Buckner (trumpet), Lloyd Glenn (piano), Billy Hadnott (bass), and Jack McVea (tenor sax).

Following his work with Black & White, he recorded from 1950–54 for Imperial Records (backed by Dave Bartholomew). Walker's only record in the next five years was T-Bone Blues, recorded over three widely separated sessions in 1955, 1956, and 1959, and finally released by Atlantic Records in 1960.

By the early 1960s, Walker's career had slowed down, in spite of a much-hyped appearance at the American Folk Blues Festival in 1962 with Memphis Slim, among others. A few critically acclaimed albums followed, such as I Want a Little Girl, and he won a Grammy in 1971 for Good Feelin' (Polydor).

T-Bone Walker died in 1975 at the age of 64. He is interred in the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California
